God will judge you severely[j] if you conceal from me anything that he said to you!” So Samuel told him everything. He did not hold back anything from him. Eli[k] said, “The Lord will do what he pleases.” Samuel continued to grow, and the Lord was with him. None of his prophecies fell to the ground unfulfilled. All Israel from Dan to Beer Sheba realized that Samuel was confirmed as a prophet of the Lord. Then the Lord again appeared in Shiloh, for it was in Shiloh that the Lord had revealed himself to Samuel through a message from the Lord.

While Peter was in Prison, constant prayers were said on his behalf. As Peter was asleep, an angel of the Lord appeared to him and a light shone in the cell. The angel touched and woke him up saying, get up quickly. Immediately, the chains fell off from his hands and the angel told him to dress up which Peter obeyed. The angel then commanded Peter to follow him. Peter thought that he was dreaming all the while. But when he passed through the first and second gates and came to the Iron Gate leading into the city, the gate opened on its own accord. When the angel left Peter, he realized that the Lord had sent an angel to rescue him from the power of Herod. Peter immediately went to the house of Mary the mother of John Mark where the brethren had gathered to pray for him in the middle of the night. When Peter knocked at the door, Rhoda identified his voice and told the brethren that Peter was at the door knocking. But the brethren expressed disbelieve and said Rhoda was mad. They said the one at the door might be Peter’s angel/ghost. Eventually, when the door was opened and they saw Peter, they were amazed and wanted to shout for joy but Peter restrained them. Peter described how his release from prison happened and he later fled from Jerusalem. As Peter could not be found in the morning after a search, Herod ordered for the execution of the guards.

James advised all Christians to do away with any acts of partiality in the church. He said that partiality can manifest when well-dressed and poorly-dressed individuals go to church and the poorly-dressed person is asked to stand up for the well-dressed person. According to James, this is partiality. God often honours those who are despised on earth but are highly faithful in spiritual affairs because it is the earthly rich who are the oppressors of the faithful poor they drag them to court without cause. All Christians should observe the royal law which says: love your neighbour as yourself. If you show partiality, you commit sin and you are convicted by the law. For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one has become guilty of all of it. If one commits adultery, but does not kill, he is guilty of breaking the law. Therefore, all our thoughts and actions must be in consonance with observation of the law of liberty. A Christian who fails 'copied from e x p o c o d e . n e t free' to show mercy to the oppressed will receive God's condemnation.
